The infamous diet for six pack abs, what exactly does it consist of, and what’s the proper way of dieting for six pack abs? A lot of people get in the state of mind where they are willing to “diet” for lets say 4 weeks, hoping to lose enough weight for their abs to show. While this is a realistic goal, it’s not a very worthwhile one, here’s why. When you set a goal to only eat certain foods for only a set amount of time, and then you somewhat get results, what happens next? It’s simple, you go back to your old eating habits, so whatever weight you lost, you will simply gain back.
So what am I getting at? Instead of hardcore “dieting” for only a set amount of time, we recommend you just eat healthier everyday, that way you aren’t really on a diet, and you are eating healthier. People, if you want to really succeed in getting six pack abs through proper dieting techniques, then listen carefully.
Six Pack Abs Is A Lifestyle!
That’s right.
You can’t just think to yourself, “Ok I’m going to eat such and such for 4 weeks and then go right back to my old diet.” Guys, this just simply does not work, it must be a true change.
How do you make this positive change more permanent? I’ve already described that, just eat a little healthier, no need to go super hardcore right off the bat. When I first started eating better I was still eating the same food, only less calories, so go little by little, you WILL get there eventually.
5 Things You’re Doing Wrong!
1. You’re Not Consistent
Remember, you aren’t dieting, just eating healthier. That means you must always be in some range in terms of your eating, if you are eating out, try to pick something in your “healthy” range. Dump the burgers, go for some lean meat like chicken, tuna, or salmon.
2. Your Eating Plan Is Wrong
In order for this to work, you have to be eating the right foods to begin with, try to eat a variety of fruits and vegetable, whole grains, some dairy, and plenty of other fluids to help cleanse your body daily. Don’t ever eliminate a certain food group, that’s not healthy, low carb diets may be fast, but the results don’t last and you feel crappy all the time, your body needs carbs.
3. You’re Not Eating Enough
Don’t get me wrong, you shouldn’t eat too much, what I’m referring to is eating often enough. The more (small) meals you eat, the more efficient your body is at burning calories, helping you lose weight and giving you more energy. The more often you eat, the more powerful your built-in energy-blaster operates, your metabolism.
4. You Give In
Sometimes you’ll eat a twinkie, that’s perfectly ok. But sometimes you’ll go an entire week eating just whatever, something you should not do. Have you heard of the 80/20 rule? Well, your six pack abs are determined by 80% of what you eat, and 20% of your exercise. Eating healthy is the most important by far. Be consistent!
5. You Give Up
Even though you’re not “dieting” you will still give up your new eating plan. This is the one that most people fall victim to, just because they don’t see enough benefit from their eating, they give up. I’ve been there myself, and I really can’t stress it enough, that it’s right before you give up that you start to see the real results that you are looking for. Don’t Give Up.
