There are a multitude of reasons of why we should be drinking more water. Water helps detoxify our bodies by flushing out potential toxins, keeping us in better moods, making us hydrated, preventing head aches, stabilizing our eating behaviors, making us more aware, among many other reasons.
Water brings an abundance of health to our bodies, it really shouldn’t be a surprise given our bodies are about 66% water. Water is the ultimate appetite suppressant, instead of checking out the fridge or the pantry for some snacks, try getting a full glass of water, you might get surprised to “quenching” your hunger with water!

So next time you go lurking for some chips, either pour yourself some fresh water or opt for peanuts, they make great healthy alternatives to tortilla chips and your waistline will thank you for it.
Your metabolism speeds up when you drink more water to lose weight, even though water has zero calories, your body still needs it to burn energy (calories).
So what kind of water should you be drinking? Tap water is okay, though free public water is probably full of calcium deposits, it’s best to get yourself a water purifier and drink the water from there. Most bottled water is also good but very costly. If you don’t want to get a water purifier, then you can always boil water then cool it, this kills most of the impurities found in free public drinking water.
Water is also great for muscle growth, if your body gets too dehydrated your muscles will not able to contract hard enough for them to grow, drinking more water, roughly 8 glasses a day, will make your body perform its greatest without reaching fatigue.
Also, water is highly thermic, like certain secret foods are, which actually aids in fat burning. It’s recommended to drink cold water instead of room temperature water. Colder water forces your metabolism to stabilize it and thus makes your body burn more energy through the consumption of cold water.
You’ll probably also notice that a healthy hydrated body shows no signs of fatigue, exhaustion, tiredness, even aging. Mostly because good hydration keeps the body at peak condition.
Next time you go digging away for a snack, or about to unwrap that candy bar, consider drinking a full glass of water instead, you’ll thank yourself each and every time
