One of the cool things about your body is that it is a very powerful machine. Besides eating certain foods and doing cardio (of which depends on your body), there’s an easy way how to get your body to burn more fat by increasing your lean muscle mass. Did you know that the driving mechanism that your body uses to lose weight (fat) is your metabolism?
However, most people that know this often try to activate this function by doing some form of cardio. This is actually effective if done right, it depends on how your body naturally works and varies. One of the ways people increase their metabolism is by doing what’s called high intensity interval training, which actually works.
To do this you simply do a warm up jog for about 3 minutes, then do sprinting for about 30 seconds, then jog again for 30 seconds, and just keep alternating like this for about 10 minutes. This successfully speeds up your metabolism for several hours after the workout.
While this method is very effective, there’s another way to dramatically increase your metabolism and not just for a few hours afterwards, but for several days. This may be a better option if you don’t have much stamina or if you simply would rather do something besides cardio (and most people hate running/cardio).
How to get your body to burn more fat
It’s not commonly known that fat loss can come from resistance training, but it is actually a more effective way to burn fat and lose weight relatively faster than other forms of weight loss. A good way to implement this form of weight loss is to do any kind of weighted training such as arm curls, tri cep presses, leg extensions, hamstring curls, chest presses etc. What I like to do is take two dumbbells and do standing arm curls, about 15 reps of 2 sets, using 25-35 pound weights. I find this works very well for not only defining my arms, but also increasing my weight loss.
It’s a good idea to perform weighted exercise for your lower body too, so that you jump-start your metabolism even more. Leg exercises such as leg press, lunges, and others can be of great benefit if done while holding dumbbells. You can workout your abs by doing declined weighted situps on a bench, great for ripping out your stomach.
Another way how to get your body to burn more fat is by eating smart. The food you eat can also play a significant role in your fat loss. There are certain foods that burn belly fat that supplement your total fat loss. Use these techniques and you will start to see the results in the mirror, especially if you are aiming to get a nice set of six pack abs.
